Gail has been voted 13th on the Smartasses Magazine Top 100 Sexiest Women list. We received the following press release.

Columbus, Ohio, USA – March 18, 2013 – Smartasses Online Magazine (smartasses.net) continued their annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition, with the release of their eighth annual compendium of the Top 100 brightest and hottest female celebrities in the world. The news was first announced via Twitter (@SmartassesNet). 2013 marked the eighth annual year for the Smartasses Magazine Top 100 Sexiest Women list. For Kim, it was her second year on the list. She was ranked #36 in 2012.

Columbus, Ohio, USA – March 18, 2013– The much anticipated St. Patrick’s Day tradition of recent years, came to life again on Sunday March 17th, when Smartasses Online Magazine (smartasses.net) released their latest compendium of the brightest and hottest female celebrities in the world. A record 34 new women were named to this year’s list, which had a heavier than normal focus on Internet celebrities, independent women’s wrestlers, and most notably the Asian community, and saw Jessica Lowndes of the CW Network’s 90210, named as their 2013 Sexiest Woman Alive. After eight straight years, Smartasses Online Magazine lays claim to one of the largest, and longest running annual Top 100 Sexiest Women lists in the world.

#1 Contender Match: Gail Kim vs Velvet Sky

Love the new Spider Girl outfit on Velvet. Gail gets a headlock, Velvet escapes and takes Gail out with a running shoulderblock, and Gail rolls to the floor. She comes back in and starts unloading with forearms and kicks, then chokes Velvet in the corner with her boot. Velvet catches a sunset flip for 2, schoolgirl rollup for another 2, then Gail catches her with a kick to the ribs. Gail with a clothesline and a straitjacket neckbreaker for 2, but Gail gets caught on a charge and runs into Velvet’s boot, and Velvet catches a bit of a break. Gail quickly regains control, slamming Velvet’s face into the mat, then scissoring her head and really cranking on the hold. Velvet tries a bulldog, but Gail shoves her off and connects with a running dropkick to the chest. Gail hits Eat Da Feet and makes a cover, but Velvet gets her foot under the bottom rope, the exact same thing that happened to Gail at the PPV. This time Taryn Terrell caught it, and Gail wastes so much time arguing with her that Velvet recovers and hits a series of clotheslines, a bulldog, and two Pedigrees for the win.

Winner: Velvet Sky

Velvet Sky is now the #1 contender to her title, and will get the next shot at Tara.

Knockouts Gauntlet – Gail Kim vs. Brooke Tessmacher vs. ODB vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky

Kim and Tessmacher started. They went back and forth with a hot opening. Tessmacher used a forward roll for a two count and a series of forearms in the corner. She missed a back splash and was caught with a kick to the head for a two count.

Kim jumped down onto Tessmacher’s back, then went to the top. Tessmacher nailed her and exploded with offense. She dropkicked Kim hard back into the buckles and nailed a Facebuster for a two count. Kim came back with “Eat Defeat.”
Tessmacher has been eliminated.

ODB came out. Kim charged her on the ramp but was knocked down. ODB spanked her and muscled her around. ODB drilled her with a series of shoulderblocks. ODB nailed a running splash in the corner, then nailed the Bronco Buster for a two count.
ODB nailed a Fall Aways Slam for a two count. Kim sent her into the ropes but was nailed with a back kick. ODB went to the ropes but Kim yanked her leg and she came down hard. Kim rolled her up and hooked the tights for the pin.
ODB has been eliminated.

Mickie James came out but was kicked down as she entered the ring. James nailed a series of kicks to come back and covered Gail for a two count. James went for her finisher but Kim rammed her backwards into the buckles. Kim hit a running splash into the buckles. James and Kim battled on the apron. Kim was sent back into the ring.
James nailed a neckbreaker for a two count. They went back and forth until James was caught with an enziguiri. James nailed a flapjack and went to the top for the Thesz Press but Kim rolled out of the ring. James went after her but Kim was waiting for her. James still caught her with head scissors on the floor.
James tossed Kim back in the ring but Kim grabbed referee Taryn Terrell. James came back down and went after Kim with a rollup but Kim reversed it and hooked the tights for the win.
James has been eliminated.

Velvet Sky came out but Kim hid on the outside. Sky, puzzled, was attacked from behind on the floor. Kim controlled her and scored several near falls. They exchanged a series of near falls.
Sky sent her into the corner but Kim kicked her off. Kim rolled her up and hooked the tights but the referee saw it. Kim argued with her but was kicked by Sky and nailed by “In Yo Face.” Kim’s leg was under the ropes but the referee missed it.

Your winner and now number one contender, Velvet Sky!

Good match with Kim working as the nucleus. She worked her ass off here. I thought this was one of the better Knockouts bouts of late.

Christy Hemme is in the ring as she introduces this knockout tag match. Gail Kim makes her way to the ring first. After her, Tara’s music plays and she comes out with the Knockout Title around her waist and Jesse at her side. They do their special taunts in their path to and in the ring. Mickie James comes out and skips her way down the ramp. Finally, Ms. Tessmacher comes out and gets in the ring.

Gail Kim and Tara vs. Mickie James and Ms. Tessmacher

Gail starts the match against Tessmacher. Tessmacher goes right to Gail, but Gail kicks her in the gut and puts her in the corner. Gail whips Tessmacher in the opposing corner, but Tessmacher jumps on the second corner and jumps back for a cross body. Both get up and Tessmacher does a monkey flip to Gail. Gail gets up and tags Tara. She enters and takes control of Tessmacher. She hits her in the gut and then whips her in the ropes. Mickie reaches and tags herself in. Tara does a snapmare takedown. Mickie enters the ring and so does Gail. Mickie does a dropkick to her and Gail rolls out. Tessmacher gets Tara and knocks her out of the ring. Both are out of the ring. Tessmacher and Mickie roll out of the ring and grab Tara and Gail. They do a double head knocker. They bring Tara back in. Tessmacher and Mickie roll back in but Mickie is the legal knockout. She has control of Tara, but Tara turns the tables and has Mickie down. She twists Mickie’s torso.

Gail has Mickie in her corner. Gail tags Tara and they double whip Mickie into a corner. Tara runs to her, but Mickie moves and she goes chest first into the corner. Mickie runs out and knocks Gail out of the ring. Tara goes to Mickie and grabs her leg, but Mickie gets away and tags Tessmacher. Tessmacher enters and closelines Tara down and then puts her in the corner. She knocks Tara down in the corner and then goes for the stink face, but Tara moves before it could happen. Jesse wipes the face of Tara. Gail enters and knocks Tessmacher down. Gail also hits Mickie. Tara enters and takes control with a knockdown of Tessmacher and then a back breaker. She covers but Tessmacher kicks out. Tara puts her in the corner and tags Gail. She enters and kicks Tessmacher multiple times in the gut. She turns and blows a kiss to Mickie. Mickie tries to get in, but Taryn Terrell stops her. Gail takes Tessmacher out and lifts her up. She drops her gut first on the knee. She covers but Tessmacher kicks out. Gail gets her up and whips her in the corner. Gail runs to go like a torpedo, but Tessmacher moves and Gail goes face first into the middle corner and then falls right out of the ring through the second rope. She gets back in the ring and is able to continue the attack. She tags Tara and Tara flips over the ropes to plant a leg drop. Tara continues to work on the head and arms of Tessmacher. She does a body slam and then goes for a standing moonsault, but Tessmacher lifts her knees up. Both are down. Both get up. Tessmacher goes into the ropes and grabs Tara’s head and hair and slams her face down on the mat. Tara crawls over and tags Gail while Tessmacher tags Mickie. Both enter and Mickie is all over Gail with closelines and a neck breaker. She covers but Tara stops it. Tessmacher runs in and knocks Tara down. Jesse pulls Tara out of the ring. They are standing there while Tessmacher climbs to the top rope. She does a flying cross body to both of them. Mickie is in the corner and Gail runs to her, but Mickie moves and Gail goes into the middle turnbuckle again. Mickie grabs her and hits the DDT. Tessmacher comes in and celebrates with Mickie. Winners: Mickie James and Ms. Tessmacher

Music plays and here comes Gail Kim. Kim gets in the ring and grabs a mic. Gail says she knows who she is calling out. 2012 was her year. She was the longest reigning Knockout Champion in TNA history, but lost the title in a fluke. She calls out Ms. Tessmacher. Tessmacher comes and makes her way to the ring.

Gail Kim vs. Ms. Tessmacher

The bell sounds and they move around the ring. They lock-up, but Gail does an arm drag. Both get up and stare at each other. They lock-up again and Gail applies an armlock. Tessmacher rolls through, but Gail takes her down and has a key lock. Tessmacher is able to roll through it. Both go to each other, but Tessmacher does a quick cover to Gail. Gail kicks out. Both get up. Tessmacher puts Gail into the corner and kicks her. Gail sits in the corner while Tessmacher runs and smashes her butt in her face. Gail rolls out of the ring. Tessmacher slides out and brings her in. Both get up and Gail knocks Tessmacher right down. Gail gets her up and does a back suplex. She covers but Tessmacher kicks out. Gail gets her up and puts her face first into the corner. She brings her up to the top rope. Gail climbs and does a hurricanrona, but Tessmacher holds on and Gail lands right on the back of her head. Tessmacher grabs Gail as she slowly gets up. Tessmacher applies a dragon sleeper. She let’s go and Gail is down. Tessmacher climbs and Gail kicks out. Both get up and Gail whips Tessmacher into the corner. Gail runs and smashes her body into Tessmacher’s gut. Gail slides through the ropes to the apron. She pushes Tessmacher down. Gail gets in and brings her butt to Tessmacher’s face. Both get up and Tessmacher slowly comes back. She gains momentum as she does several offensive moves and then whips Gail in the corner. Tessmacher climbs and puts her crotch into Gail’s face. Tessmacher lifts Gail up and drops her right down. Tessmacher climbs and does a flying elbow, but Gail moves. Both get up. Gail hits the Eat the Feet and gets the pin. Winner: Gail Kim

Christy Hemme is shown in the ring as she announces the first match. Gail Kim comes out and makes her way to the ring. As she does, we see footage from two weeks ago when Mickie James won the Knockout Battle Royal to be the #1 contender. After she is in the ring, Mickie James comes out with smiles. She skips down the ramp and slides in the ring. The crowd cheers.

Gail Kim vs. Mickie James

The bell sounds and both move around the ring. They lock-up, but Gail slides behind and does a roll-up. Mickie quickly kicks out. They lock-up again. Gail slides behind her and locks her arms around her waist. She then pounds on the back of Mickie. She falls to the mat. She gets up. Gail grabs her arm and starts twisting it. She works the arm and then grabs the hair and pulls Mickie down. Mickie slowly gets up. Gail goes right back on her as she puts her in the corner. Gail walks away. She turns and runs back. She smashes Mickie in the corner. She gets Mickie up and does a reverse neck breaker. She covers. Mickie kicks out. Gail slams Mickie’s head into the mat and then applies the scissor lock around Mickie’s neck. Gail twists up and then falls down planting Mickie’s face into the mat. It was a beautiful move. Gail covers but Mickie kicks out. Gail gets up and goes for the figure four leg lock, but Mickie pushes her away. Mickie gets up and is able to slam Gail’s face right down in the mat. Mickie climbs the corner. She jumps as Gail is on her feet facing her. Gail moves. Mickie lands on her feet, but Gail was able to attack her. Mickie is down. Gail gets her up, but Mickie is able to get away and then kick Gail right in the face. It looks to be the end. She covers but Gail’s leg is under the ropes. Mickie fixes that but Gail kicks out. Both get up. Mickie hits multiple closelines and then a neck breaker. She covers. Gail kicks out again. Both get up. Mickie kicks her in the gut and goes for the DDT, but Gail pushes her back into the corner. Gail runs to her, but Mickie lifts her legs up and Gail goes right into the turnbuckle. Mickie slides down as she grabs Gail’s head and hits the tornado DDT. She covers and wins. Winner: Mickie James

Mickie James, Brooke Tessmacher, Gail Kim, ODB, and Madison Rayne in a battle royal with the winner becoming the number one contender for the Knockouts Championship. Tessmacher took the first false elimination, landing on the apron, but she was eliminated just a moment later as Madison and Gail worked together. Mickie and ODB stopped fighting to work together against Madison and Gail. Mickie tossed Madison over the top to the apron. ODB spit the liquor in her face to finish the elimination. Gail eliminated ODB and she and Mickie battled in the ropes. Mickie hit a back kick to eliminate Gail for the win…

Mickie James became the number one contender for the Knockouts Championship at 5:31.
