Seeing as how Gail will have a rougher schedule since she's with WWE and because I read some posts in the shoutbox a week or two ago about how there could possibly not be an Ask Gail for a while I thought of an idea. When the forums first started in 2006, the Ask Gail section was run in this fashion: We posted the questions and Gail answered them in our original threads. This format stayed until after Wrestlemania weekend that year since the questions piled up to huge amounts for the second time that year (first was during her Korea trip right after the site was down the whole weekend before) and somebody (forget who) thought of the idea of the Ask Gail threads to make it easier on her. Well, my idea's similar to the original albeit slightly modified. We post our questions, but there won't be any replies to the questions until Gail answers them. This would make it easier on Gail since after being on the road every week, answering several questions at once would probably be the last thing on her mind and answering a few every few days would be less tiring than answering around 15-18 or so at once. The no-reply until Gail answers it rule will make sure that the questions stay in the order in which they are asked.

So, what do you guys think? Do you like the idea? Should it be implemented after Ask Gail 94 and 95 are answered? Should the Ask Gails stay instead? Just wondering since I want to make it as easy as possible on Gail and help keep the section active.

The best person to ask would be Gail herself. One of the moderators should ask what is more convenient for her.

I think it would be more convenient for Gail, maybe Chris will ask her?

While the idea is not bad and has worked before, ultimately Soju and Sasha are right. Any new format changes would go through by agreement of Chris and Gail. While there can be other ways to go about Ask Gail that could be easier for all of us, I think the section has been utilizing this format so long that it could be counterproductive to have Gail adapt to a new system overnight.

Also, just to clarify, the Ask Gails are still continuing on. It will only be paused if there are too many questions on the list for her to answer.

I think the new system sounds good but Gail is already used to the one we use now so it might be hard. But its up to Gail and Chris.

More or less it's more up to Gail than it is to Chris, since it's the Ask Gail section of the forum.
