Gail Kim vs. Roxxi Laveaux - 2/4/08 TNA Xplosion

Roxxi takes advantage right away with a knee lift to Gail's gut followed by a pair of clubbing blows across the back. Whip into the ropes and Gail fights back with a pair of kicks to Roxxi's midsection followed by a very innovative and unique Lucha-style armdrag takedown. Running clothesline by Gail and she follows with yet another Lucha-style takedown. These are the moves we would see in Gail's early training videos from when she was at Squared Circle. Chops to the chest by Gail and she whips Roxxi into the ropes. Gail follows her in and eats an elbow smash for it followed by a sick boot to the face for a one count. Roxxi grabs Gail and throws her into the corner and proceeds to choke her until the referee says otherwise. Running shoulderblock in the corner by Roxxi. Bodyslam by Roxxi in the middle of the ring for a nearfall. We go to a commercial break and return with Gail jumping off the top rope but Roxxi moves out of the way and Gail lands on her feet, but she's taken out seconds later with a spinebuster for a very close nearfall. Roxxi can't believe she didn't get a three count. Roxxi sets up for her Barbie Crusher finisher, but Gail slips put of it with elbow shots to the side of Roxxi's head. Codebreaker by Gail on Roxxi, who recovers and charges at Gail in the corner only to have her slip away. Clothesline by Gail and another followed by standing dropkick. Gail is on the attack with a series of forearm shots and goes for a Mexican armdrag off the ropes, but Roxxi resists the attempt. Cross-armed neckbreaker by Gail for a two count. Gail is not happy with the referee's counting. Air Raid Crash attempt by Gail and Roxxi gets out of it easily. Roxxi shoves Gail into the ropes, kicks her in the gut and sets up for the Voodoo Slam, but Gail manages to get away in time. Roxxi misses a kick and Gail capitalizes with the Air Raid Crash for the victory. Short match but very enjoyable. It would be awesome to see what Gail and Roxxi could do together in a match that lasts 10-15 minutes on PPV. Hopefully, we will see them feuding at some point in 2008.

Thanks, Lex. I think a Gail vs. Roxxi feud over the Women's Title could be awesome. They have chemistry in the ring and I'm sure they could put on some great matches, especially on PPV where they'd have more time to build a story.
